Sonoor started as a pop-up and now has a permanent room in Delfshaven, inside the former neighbourhood pub ‘t Kraantje. The worn timber floor and deliberately raw interior keep some of that brown-café character. It feels lived-in rather than assembled around a catalogue of expensive objects.
The custom Addit sound system is the serious part. It was designed for the bar and 3D-printed for the space, with individual Hypex amplification inside each powered speaker. The booth has two Technics SL-1210MK7 turntables, two Pioneer XDJ-1000MK2 players and an AlphaTheta Euphonia rotary mixer. Polyester wool covers the entire ceiling in different sizes and thicknesses, with more treatment on the walls and custom panels around the listening area and booth.
Evening listening sessions and live performances suit a closer listen. Friday and Saturday nights move toward more energetic DJ sets and dancing. Reservations are available through the Sonoor website.
