migas is a Wedding listening bar with none of the vague hi-fi language. The front room runs custom maple horns loaded with Altec and TAD drivers, Four Audio amplification, Technics 1210 MK3Ds, and an Isonoe ISO420 mixer. The rear room has its own D’Appolito system and RiPol subwoofer.
That hardware is there to make records work at social volume, not to turn every night into a demo. The programme ranges freely through obscure and familiar music, old and current releases, with selectors and regular full-album listening sessions. The bar makes its own vermouth, keeps the lighting low, and has enough acoustic control that you can talk without competing with the system.
Walk in with a small group, leave the phone in your pocket, and take a seat before the listening session starts. This is one of Berlin’s more complete versions of the format.
