Bar Neiro takes the jazz-kissa idea seriously: seated, limited capacity, vinyl only, and LPs played front to back. It sits in Mitte as part of Analogue Foundation Berlin, with Brewery Studios nearby, so the analogue language is built into the place rather than added as styling.
The system is old-school hi-fi in the best sense: Garrard 301 turntable, Schick 12-inch tonearm, Audio-Technica cartridges, Shindo amplification, Altec A5 speakers in Western Electric cabinets, and Fostex T90A supertweeters. The room has acoustic design behind it too, including room-within-room construction and decoupling from the building structure.
The policy is simple: book a slot, sit down, and let the record play. Jazz is central, though the music can move toward electronica and other deep listening records. Best for one or two people who want a cocktail, a full side of vinyl, and a room where conversation stays below the music.
