Fung Record Bar sits upstairs from Nuii Bar on Pra Pok Klao Road Soi 1, in a traditional house conversion close to Chiang Mai’s old city. Downstairs has food and guest DJs; upstairs is the record room, reached by a wooden staircase and built around vinyl rather than laptops.
The setup is all analogue in spirit: records, DJs, shelves of vinyl, warm wood, low light, and a room small enough for the selector’s choices to matter. It is more sit-down record bar than club, with Beatles-nodding highballs and a balcony looking back over the alley.
The music leans through funk, indie, disco, rock, and whatever the night’s records bring into focus. Go when you want a compact Chiang Mai listening stop with drinks and conversation, not a strict audiophile room or a dance-floor bar.
