ECHO is a Las Vegas listening lounge with a restaurant and cocktail bar attached to the same idea. The main room uses warm wood, acoustic panels and living-room seating around a vintage analogue system. Records are visible, handled and played, rather than framed as proof that somebody owns a collection.
The main setup uses McIntosh turntables and amplification with vintage speakers brought in by co-founder Natalie Young. A 12-seat back room goes further, with additional acoustic treatment, vintage McIntosh 75 tube amplifiers and La Scala speakers. The published details stop short of a complete signal chain, but this is clearly more than a decorative DJ booth.
Jazz, funk and world music form much of the vinyl programme, with classic rock and hip-hop also appearing. Resident DJs, live jazz and blues give the calendar some structure. ECHO works for dinner and conversation in the main room, while the smaller listening room is the better fit when the system itself is the reason to go.
