Tigris is a new hi-fi listening bar on Bagley Street in Southwest Detroit, built around records, cocktails, and a room designed for attention. By day, the front space works as a cafe. By night, the listening room shifts toward cocktails, selectors, and vinyl-led programming.
The system is custom-built by Detroit’s Bing Audio, with the room planned around speaker placement, materials, acoustic treatment, and bass traps. That matters more than a list of expensive boxes. The point is a room where the system and architecture are meant to work together, not a bar where speakers were added after the furniture.
The music programme is built around guest DJ sets, curated vinyl nights, and listening sessions, with room for more social nights as well. Tigris looks best for people who want a Detroit room where music is central, but not treated like homework.
