Tezukuri’s listening bar seats about ten people behind a discreet doorway in a Downtown Dubai temaki restaurant. Records play in a separate room with low lighting and cocktails, including martinis. The small size is the attraction. Come for a seated drink and an hour with the music.
The restaurant is a collaboration between Kinoya’s Neha Mishra and Panchali Mahendra. At the dining counter, chefs make hand rolls to order and serve them straight away. A visit can begin there before moving into the listening bar, though the two spaces have different opening hours and very different capacities.
Ask specifically for the listening room when arranging a visit. A restaurant reservation should not be taken as a guaranteed seat in the bar. Tezukuri suits a couple or a small party more readily than a large group, especially if the plan is to stay for records after dinner.
