A grand piano anchors the ground-floor Live Room at SIWILAI Sound Club. The room is intimate and polished, with regular performances by Thai and visiting jazz musicians. Six custom OJAS coaxial speakers handle the reinforcement. The high ceiling and converted shophouse setting give it more air than the usual low-lit jazz basement.
Upstairs is the more focused Audiophile Bar. Its custom OJAS horn system uses original Altec 416B and 288B drivers with Altec 311B horns, powered by a McIntosh MC252 amplifier. Vinyl runs through Technics SL-1210 turntables, Goldring E3 cartridges and a UREI 1620 rotary mixer. This is a serious signal chain, not decorative vintage hardware.
The record collection runs beyond a thousand albums and EPs. Programming is selector-led and broadly free-form, though jazz remains central; live bookings also move through soul, funk and groove. Choose the room to suit the night: musicians and a grand piano downstairs, records and closer listening upstairs.
