Shh. Listening Bar is Vienna’s clearest step into the listening-bar format: a small Wieden room where music is not treated as background service. The venue sits at Wiedner Hauptstraße 18, close enough to the centre to feel accessible but small enough to keep its own pace.
The setup uses two Technics 1210s, a mixer, tube amplification, and custom speakers. Fabric-covered walls help the room stay controlled, so the bar can play records with presence without becoming another loud cocktail room.
The music leans toward soul, R&B, funk, jazz, Latin, beat, easy listening, and related records from the late 1950s through the early 1980s, with guest DJs widening the frame. Longplayers are often played through, which gives the night a slower rhythm than a normal selector bar.
