Middle Room is a 33-seat listening bar inside Courtyard in Shanti Nagar, Bengaluru. It takes cues from Japanese jazz kissas and old Bangalore’s beer-room culture, with records, acoustics, and seated listening given more weight than spectacle.
The room is built around vinyl playback, analogue equipment, and careful acoustic tuning. It is small enough for seating, volume, and conversation level to matter, which gives the records a better chance of staying central.
The music programme moves through a handpicked archive spanning global jazz, funk, rock, Indian classical, and selector-led sessions. Reservations run around two-hour listening slots, with beer-forward drinks and food kept close enough to support the evening without dragging attention away from the system.
