Listener is closer to a bookable listening room than a conventional bar with good speakers. Behind the coffee shop and wine bar on Rue Vivienne is a private room for one- and two-hour sessions, built for hearing your own selection on a proper system rather than squeezing into a crowded DJ set.
The room is the serious part. Listener keeps component names private, but the setup is presented as a high-fidelity system and the space is reserved for focused playback. Its programme has room for public listening sessions too, from artist-led events to album nights.
