Hram is a small listening bar on Pehlivanuša, close to Sarajevo’s Music Academy. Drinks support an evening built around records, themed selections and careful listening. The room is social, though the owners favour conversation over loud networking and describe attention as part of the point.
The collection runs to more than 2,000 records gathered over many years. Residents Meriem and Ilhan select alongside visiting DJs, moving through Arabic new age, Turkish psychedelia, Balearic music, post-punk, dub and other less predictable corners of the shelves. Poetry evenings and occasional cultural events widen the programme without pushing music to the side.
Some guest nights become lively enough for dancing, so this is not a silent jazz-kissa room. The quieter hours suit listeners who want to follow the selections properly; later sessions have more of a small, record-led club pace. Hram is best for people who care about the choice of music and do not need listening to feel solemn.
