Gold Listening Bar is a Japanese jazz kissa-inspired listening bar in Ghent with a serious published signal chain and a clear etiquette around listening. Wednesday sessions are full-LP, seated, limited-capacity events where silence is requested while both sides play.
The main system is specific enough to list properly: Linn Sondek LP12, Leben phono stage, McIntosh preamp, Pass Labs power amp and Klipsch Cornwall III speakers. The DJ booth adds Technics 1210 MkII decks, a Varia Instruments RDM20 rotary mixer, Quad power amplification and Graham Audio Chartwell LS3/5 monitors.
Gold is built for people who want the record treated as the event. Drinks matter, but the room’s discipline is the point: sit down, listen through, then talk when the side is finished.
