epulor’s second location sits between Ebisu and Daikanyama, in a compact room built around one curved counter. Genkai stone from Karatsu meets rough concrete and wood, giving the space more texture than polish. It opened in June 2025 and has its own system and character, separate from the original Nakameguro bar.
Records play throughout the day on a Technics SL-1500C through a Luxman L-507Z, an ECLER WARM2 rotary mixer and Tannoy Cheviot speakers. Staff choose the music rather than follow a fixed genre: jazz and soul can give way to rock, electronic, ambient, classical or pop as the day changes.
Specialty coffee sets the daytime pace; natural wine takes over in the evening. The listening culture remains the same. Conversation is welcome at a considerate volume, and the room is better suited to one or two people than a loud group. It is non-smoking and walk-in only, open Tuesday to Sunday from 11:00 to midnight.
