Bursa Bar sits on the first floor of Bursa Hotel in Podil, Kyiv: a compact cocktail and music room built around plywood, vinyl shelves, a DJ booth, and a pair of Devon Ojas speakers. It takes cues from Japanese listening bars without turning the room into a museum piece.
The acoustic design is part of the architecture. Mirzoyan Studio used plywood across walls, ceiling, and furniture, with the ceiling lowered for sound insulation between the bar and the hotel rooms above. The result is a small room that feels intentionally enclosed rather than cramped.
The format suits vinyl enthusiasts, live-set nights, and cocktails at a closer volume than a standard hotel bar. Best for an early seat near the system or a night when the DJ booth is treated as more than decoration.
